Sportscenter Triad's Aerobic classes are a great way to make working out fun and something you look forward to. The group concept helps to support you in keeping your energy level up so you can be consistent with your efforts and get the most from your training.
It's about burning calories, getting toned and improving your overall health - all while having fun. The time will actually fly. Select from the menu above to auto-scroll to a description of the selected class.
All classes are 55-60 minutes unless otherwise noted.
Ab Attack Need to tighten and firm your mid section?? This class is for you! Combination of crunches and pilates-based moves will strengthen and tone your tummy, attacking the core (abs, obliques and lower back).
Aquafit Enjoy the beauty and benefits of the water. By using your body's natural buoyancy, water reduces joint stress while creating natural resistance to work the muscles of the body. This class includes an aerobic workout, muscle-conditioning segment, and relaxing stretch.
Aqua Marine Come experience this awesome workout using the resistance of the water and train like a true Marine! It is like aqua bootcamp!! The instructor will lead you through a series of heart pumping drills in and out of the pool--Go hard or go home!
Belly Dance No previous experience is required. Bellydance will help develop core body awareness while building strength and stamina, and toning and strengthening the different muscle groups of the body. You will learn to isolate your glutes, hips, abs, pelvis, ribcage, shoulders, head and arms while learning the basic moves of belly dancing.
Bootcamp A great drill-based class that includes cardio, toning, strength, and plyo-metric based moves. There is little to no choreography in this class and is for all fitness levels. This class is 60 minutes, so be sure to bring a towel and water bottle!
Bottoms Up Do you want to firm up your lower body? This is the class for you! Be prepared to tighten and firm up with squats, lunges, plies, and more using weights, bands and balls. This class is 30-45 minutes.
Cardio Mix This circuit class combines strength, core conditioning, and cardio-based moves...one-minute cycles of each for a total body workout. No choreography...just multiple cardio, upper and lower body strength exercises for the entire body. You are SURE to sweat and get a TOTAL body workout!!
Cyclone One of our innovative combination cycle and studio classes, this 60 minute workout alternates segments of cycling with ultimate toning in the studio. The class finishes with abs and a stretch.
Intro to Yoga/Cycle These classes are for those who are new to group exercise classes or who have been out of the gym for a while. These classes should help teach you the basics of yoga, pilates, cycle, step, ramping?, etc. and help you feel more confident about taking a regular group exercise class. Feel free to ask the instructor any questions you may have about the particular exercise or your form and technique. These classes are 30-45 minutes.
Metabolic Effect -(ME This is a new generation 30 minute group workout. The instructor will coach you through a series of compound moves to increase HR, muscle burn, mechanical failure, and reach oxygen debt. . .followed by a forced rest(default). Your body will burn fat at an accelerated rate 24-48hrs. after.
Pilates Primer By using techniques developed by Joseph Pilates, this workout is intended strengthen weak muscles while elongating bulky ones. A special emphasis is placed on the abs and back as well as full body stretching. This session is practiced in bare feet. This is for those new to Pilates and/or wanting to focus on the fundamentals. It is highly recommended that you take this session prior to any other Pilates session and ANYONE can retake this session at anytime as a refresher.
Pilates Mat I/II Continue on to our mat classes once you understand the concepts and exercises that are taught in the primer class. These exercises will challenge your "core" strength and stability. Special attention is given to the back, triceps and gluteus muscles. Expect a more efficient golf swing, an improved tennis game, better posture and a more positive outlook on life!
Pilates Small Apparatus For those mastering Mat I/II...this class will offer more challenging exercises and will introduce you to the Pilates circle, foam roller and the thera-ball. Come ready to sweat! (This is coming soon)
Ramp This class uses an incline that utilizes the motion of forward walking and combines it with the opposing action walking backwards, creating a high-energy that targets the rear muscles in the body.
Spinning/Cycle Recognized as one of the best low-impact workouts available, our state-of-the art indoor bikes can be perfectly adjusted to suit your fitness level. Our classes will familiarize you with the techniques of bicycling while providing a fun and exhilarating group experience; come and see what the buzz is about- Don't forget water and a towel are required!
Spin-Splash Are you ready to burn some calories and then cool off in the pool? This class will start in the cycle studio(40-45min.) and finish in the pool(20-30min.). If you aren't comfortable spinning, meet the group in the pool later.
Step Jump & Pump (a.k.a. SJP) This class does it all and you won't believe how fast it is over; alternating between five-minute segments of Step, Jump-roping, and Ultimate Toning - this class is great for levels.
Super-Spin This is a 60-75minutes indoor cycle ride. This class will familiarize you with the techniques of bicycling while providing a fun and exhilarating exercise!
Tred-N-Shed No experience is required and great for all fitness levels. This is a 35-45 minute workout on a piece of equipment you see in every gym, the treadmill. A trained instructor will guide you through hills and flats for an entertaining and wonderful cardiovascular group exercise class.

Turbo Kick This energy packed class combines kicking and punching techniques with agility and strength training moves to the latest music. Be prepared to reach TURBO pace!
Tone All Zones Do you want firm and tone your entire body? Then this is the class for you; every major muscle group is worked using bands, tubes, balls and weights. (UT Xpress or Toning Xpress is the same class for 30-45 minutes).
Yogalite Learn the fundamentals of this ancient workout for the mind, body and soul and experience how practicing yoga can help you reduce stress, enhance balance, gain strength and improve flexibility. Classes include floor work, standing poses, and breathing exercises. Participants are offered a variety of postures to accommodate every level. This session is practiced in bare feet.
Zumba Dance Come learn a choreographed dance to the latest Latin or hip-hop music, have fun and sweat! You may even walk away with a few new hip moves that will definitely impress your friends! You do not need to have previous dance experience...this class is sweeping the nation....some even describe it as a "party in the aerobics room!"
