Aerobics Classes Offered at The Sportscenter Athletic Club in Kernersville
The Kernersville Sportscenter offers a variety of Aerobic classes for all levels and interests. Aerobics classes are a fun and exciting way to work out. Taking
regular aerobics classes will have you looking forward to exercising. For many people, working out in a group situation helps to support you in
keeping your energy level up so you can stick to your fitness program and get the most out of your exercise training.
Aerobics classes
focus on toning your muscles, burning calories, and improving your overall health. Try an aerobics class at our new Kernersville location and
experience for yourself how much fun aerobics can be. The time will actually fly. Select from the menu above to auto-scroll to a description of

All aerobics classes are 55-60 minutes unless otherwise noted.
Ab Attack Need to tighten and firm your mid section?? this class is for you! combination of crunches and pilates-based moves
will strengthen and tone your tummy, attacking the core (abs, obliques and lower back).
Allegro Reformer Fee required with a 24 hr notice. Pick up a brochure at front desk for more information and pricing. This method is designed to transform the way your body looks and feels.
Aquafit Enjoy the beauty and benefits of the water. By using your body's natural
buoyancy, water reduces joint stress while creating natural resistance to work the muscles of the body. This class includes an aerobic workout,
muscle-conditioning segment, and relaxing stretch.
Belly Dance No previous experience is required. Bellydance will help develop core body awareness while building strength and stamina, and
toning and strengthening the different muscle groups of the body. You will learn to isolate your glutes, hips, abs, pelvis, ribcage, shoulders,
head and arms while learning the basic moves of belly dancing.
Bootcamp A great drill-based class that includes cardio, toning, strength, and plyo-metric based moves. There is little to
no choreography in this class and is for all fitness levels. This class is 60 minutes, so be sure to bring a towel and water bottle!! (Look for
this class in the Spring-"Spring Fling", Summer-"Hot Drills", Fall-"Bootcamp", and Winter-"Holiday Rush")
Bottoms Up Do you want to firm up your lower body? This is the class for you! Be
prepared to tighten and firm up with squats, lunges, plies, and more using weights, bands and balls. This class is 30 minutes.
Cardio Mix This class offers just the right amount of cardiovascular activity (Instructors choice) and toning using various equipment to reach those vulnerable areas. This class is 60
minutes!
Climb Time SPIN® Starts at the base camp and continues right into a
challenging non-stop 40min. climb to the summit. Once the class reaches the summit they will be led back down gradually. You will experience
challenging rolling hills, mountainous terrain and some straight aways. Options are given throughout and everyone is encouraged to work at
his/her own level. This class is 45min. and rated E for Everyone!
Cyclone One of our innovative combination cycle and studio classes, this 60-75 minute workout alternates cycling with tone the zone(A.K.A. Ultimate Toning) in the studio. This class finishes with ABS and a stretch.
Intro To Yoga Ramp These classes are for those who are new to group exercise classes or who have been an out of the gym for a
while. These classes should help teach you the basics of yoga and help you feel more confident about taking a regular group exercise class.
These classes are 30-45 minutes.
Intro To Allegro Reformer No cost to members. You must sign up at the front desk. Please see Pilates brochure for more information.
Metabolic Effect -(ME This is a new generation 30 minute group workout. The instructor will coach you through a series of compound moves to increase HR, muscle burn, mechanical failure, and reach
oxygen debt. . .followed by a forced rest(default). Your body will burn fat at an accelerated rate 24-48hrs. after.
Pacesetters This class offers a more gentle approach to exercise for those that need a low impact/intensity workout. We offer a variety of classes that will focus on strength, flexibility, improve
endurance; while keeping you fit and motivated!
Pilates Primer This class is for those new to Pilates and/or wanting to focus on the fundamentals. Lots of personal
attention is given. Attending sessions of the Pilates Primer is highly recommended prior to taking our ongoing classes.
Pilates Mat I/II Continue on to our mat classes once you understand the concepts and exercises taught in Primer. These exercises will challenge your "core" strength and stability, special attention is
given to the back, triceps and gluteus muscles.
SPIN® Recognized as one of the best low-impact workouts available, our state-of-the-art indoor bikes can be
perfectly adjusted to suit your fitness level. Our classes will familiarize you with the techniques of bicycling while providing a fun and
exhilarating group experience; come and see what the buzz is about-Don't forget water and a towel are required.
Spin "Clusion" Burn fat while building muscle, this class is 3 workouts in 1. It will include cycle 30-45minutes, toning 30 minutes and Yoga 30 minutes. Start in the cycle studio.
SPIN® Crunch This is a 45 minute class described above, but at the
end of the class there will be a core strengthening segment that's a great way to trim your waist!
Spin-Splash Are you ready to burn some calories and then cool off in the pool? This
class will start in the cycle studio (40-45min.) and finish in the pool (20-30min.). If you aren't comfortable spinning, meet the group in the
pool later.
Step & Weights A challenging cardiovascular workout using a bench and optional risers, abdominal work and toning with weights included.
Step Jump & Pump (a.k.a. SJP) This class does it all and you won't believe how fast it is over;
alternating between five-minute segments of Step, Jump-roping, and Ultimate Toning - this class is great for levels.
Super-Spin This is a 60-75min. indoor cycle ride. This class will familiarize you with the techniques of bicycling while
providing a fun and exhilarating exercise!
Tred-N-Shed No experience is required and great for all fitness levels. This is a 35-45 minute workout on a piece of equipment you see in every gym, the
treadmill. A trained instructor will guide you through hills and flats for an entertaining and wonderful cardiovascular group exercise class.
Sign up at the front desk is required prior to taking each class.
Tri-30 This is 3 different classes in 1... 30 minutes of Bootcamp in gym; 30 minutes of Cycle; and 30 minutes of Aquafit. This is like a mini-triatholon!
Turbo Kick This energy packed class combines kicking and punching techniques with agility and strength training moves to provide a total body workout.
Tone the Zone (a.k.a. Ultimate Toning) Do you want to firm and tone your entire body? Then this is the class for you; every major muscle group is worked using tubes, balls, and weights. This class
is an hour unless you see UT Xpress or Toning Xpress-30-45minutes.
Yoga Combining strength poses and stretching while toning your abdominal muscles for a total workout. This class is 30-60minutes.
Zumba Dance This is the latest hot workout!! Come learn a dance to the latest hip-hop music or latin music, have fun and sweat!! Don't worry about what you look like! You may
even walk away with a few new hip moves that will definitely impress!
