Swim Lessons

Individual and Group swim lessons are offered year-round at the Sportscenter Athletic Club. Swim lessons are available for members and non-members. Swim lessons are available in High Point and Kernersville.

The indoor and outdoor swimming pools provide an exceptional place to teach swim lessons to people of all ages and skill levels.

Swimming Pools - Facility
- Warm water 15 x 10 yard 3.6' to 5' deep activity pool, and access to 25 yard lap pool.
- Men and women's, boy and girl's locker rooms adjacent to the pool.
- Water temperature maintained at 87 degrees.

Swim Lesson Program
- Sportscenter levels of swimming.
- Group and Private lessons for 6 months through teens and adults.
- Start anytime with a minimum of one month. (½ hour lessons once a week or 4 per month)
- Continue for a monthly fee year around. ($10 charge to change time or day of lesson)
- Class size is 4, 5, or 6 to 1 depending on the level. 8 to 1 for A/B classes (with parent)
- Instructor checks off skills as they are completed and passes kids to the next level.

Staff
- All staff are lifeguard, CPR, First Aid, and or WSI certified.
- All staff attends our own in-house training program.

Registration
- Reservations will only be confirmed with payment and a completed registration form.
- Classes will be combined or canceled if minimum enrollment is not met.
- To maintain an on-going spot in class, after the first two months, full payment must be received by the 1st of the month.
- Please put your child's name and class time on the check, on the memo line.
- No refunds or credit will be issued for missed or unused classes.

Make-ups
- Credit cannot be issued for missed classes

Cancellation
To discontinue lessons please call (336) 992-1700 with 30 day notice.

Safety
- No running on the deck.
- Kids in lessons should not enter the pool until the instructor calls them.
- Children not yet toilet trained must wear aquatic diapers (plastic pants).
- Children under 14 are not allowed in the hot tub.
- Everyone must shower before entering the pool or hot tub.

Sign-ups for all swim lessons will be taken at the front desk in High Point. Payment for lessons is due upon class registration.
